A swimming pool is a complex structure that must reconcile several different elements in order to satisfy its customers and end-users. It requires a structure to hold the water and a filtration system to maintain the water quality and finally must provide flexibility of choice for the customer in terms of size and shape and to fit well in the site and resist all kinds of weather, whilst allowing rapid, cost effective construction.
The Desjoyaux Active Permanent Casing Structure invented and patented by Desjoyaux in 1978 is made from recycled Polypropylene components that are injection moulded and assemble to form the pool side panels. These panels can be adapted to create any size or shape that is desired. There are no restrictions.
Once fitted and correctly adjusted these casing panels are then fitted with liner locks, reinforced with steel rods before concrete is poured into the chimneys and floor in a single operation. This creates an incredibly strong monolithic structure. Once cured a smooth mortar finish is applied to the pool base. It is then ready for the installation of the pool liner.
